OFFICIAL SELECTION: 2008 SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL (DRAMATIC COMPETITION)

When Albert Stockwell comes home from work one day, he finds a note from his wife of fifteen years saying she has gone to visit friends.

It is a lie.

Several days go by and Albert realizes that she isn't coming back. Nancy has met a man she believes to be her salvation on the Internet: Louis Farley. Louis's life, like Nancy's, has become a twisted quest for relief and redemption via smutty chat rooms and "alternative" websites. Both wounded and alone, Nancy and Louis take comfort in one another through email, pictures and promises.

With Louis, Nancy finds a place of liberation and fulfillment -- an alternate reality where pain is pleasure, where the end is the beginning. While Nancy pursues the freedom that she feels can only come with ultimate liberation, Albert is left to put the pieces of his empty life together like a puzzle that forms a picture of an endless and desolate void.

Developed and produced by Adam Batz’s company, Tule River Films, his portion of which has since been rolled off to become Joss Media.
